Why don't we follow through on our goals?!

I see it see often... 

So, why don't we follow through on our goals? What stops us? What is standing in our way? Are they unachievable? Are they unrealistic?

Nothing is ever unachievable! It's your attitude to how you want to achieve those goals that is either going to set you up for success or failure. 

And, there is nothing wrong with failure, failure is there to teach us. We learn from our failures and those fails are really important along the way to achieving goal success. 

So, if we fail do we just give up on those goals or do we try another, slightly different approach? Some give up.. Some keep trying! 

Why do some give up? One of the reasons is because we're usually afraid of encountering failure again. How do I know? Because I've been there. 

It's hard trying to achieve some of your goals. Especially when we set such high standards for our selves.

The easiest thing sometimes is just to give up and claim defeat. But you know where true success and goal achievement comes from? Pushing through those times. There is times when you will tell yourself that this hard, I can't do it, I won't get to where I want to be, it's too much effort..... The list could go on! 

I write all of this from my own experiences! Every time I sit down to write something it is coming from me and my experiences, I've been through it. 

You slip up on your weight loss journey and your attitude is 'OK, stuff this, this is too hard, I can't do it, I give up...' Where is that attitude going to get you? No where... Remember, nothing is ever unfixable, if you slip up or fall off that wagon you just jump back on again and learn from that little bump in the read. 

Your attitude and mindset to your goals are the key to seeing you achieving success! The reality is  if you don't believe you can do something or achieve something you most likely won't! 

You've got to tackle every goal you set yourself with the 'I CAN DO IT' attitude. 

Look, it's never plain sailing. We ALL encounter bumps and hits along the way and the easiest thing to do is give up. 

When you feel like giving up, remember why you started! 

And why did you start? What's your why? 

Why do you want to lose weight? Why do you want to become healthier? Why do you want to move countries? Why do you want to change careers? 

Do you want to lose weight so you have more confidence and self esteem? Do you want to be become healthier so you've lots of energy to run around after your kids or future kids, is it because you want a better quality of life and you now understand that health is one of the most important things we all have in our lives?

Do you want to move countries to experience different cultures and life is too short? Do you want to change careers because the job you are in right now brings you absolutely no satisfaction? 

WHAT IS YOUR WHY???

This is hugely important when setting your goals. Set 'YOUR WHY' clear in your mind before you embark on achieving your goals and when you feel like quitting or giving up remember your why... That is what will keep you on that road to success. 

Get your why clear and you will be on the road to following through on achieving your goals!
